Whew!!!! There is so much that has happened and passed since my last post. Life and family have been a main focus. Trying to blog about it, not so much. But I find myself forgetting the little and big important events in our lives. So I am going to attempt to blog again.
Biggest New News. We have moved from where we have known our home as a family in Spartanburg County for 11 years.
Some what of a surprise. And somewhat not. After an unfortunate car accident last Oct 2012. Our family went through several months of misery and pain from my injuries. We where happy to get through a day with normal daily chores done. But most days that did not happen. Clothes piled up, chores did not get done, house painting was pushed off and then totally eliminated.
Through this I had one prayer, one daily, nightly prayer. God use us! God use us and our family in and through this situation. Help me to be healthy and strong again so that I can serve again. Help me to see you through what seems to be terrible pain and heartache. Whether you use us right where we are or send us to where we can be used. Lord use us!
Now as most of you know, that if you pray this, you better be ready for an answer. Once I was finally able to have laser surgery and begin recovery, satan hit us with a situation I would have never seen coming. But, I knew God was in control and he was working. I began to try to slowly pour myself back into church, womens ministry and childrens ministry again. I was looking forward to being able to bend down and hug my 4 year old classes again. Oh, what God had in store!!
Tim, got a call one afternoon and was being offered a job in our favorite vacation spot. We made a one day trip to interview, and look around. Within two weeks he had a job confirmed, hired and temporary housing ready to receive us. It was an amazing job with a company that had a great record. He needed this, and I wanted him to have it.
Just in the short months of surgery recovery(which is still ongoing), I was going to pick up three children and move them away from everyone and everything they knew. God had to be all over this! The peace that was surrounding our decision was like no other.
My biggest question, What is God up to and why Charleston? It only took 24 hours for me to get that answer.
On day two of being in our temp housing, or car breaks down in a rather uncertain neighborhood, and it is just me and the girls. The man and my husband who came to our rescue was more than helpful. Our conversation headed back to our house, with a truck full of 6 people!!!lol Was all about how God placed us here and how much he will take care of us and what he was doing in this mans life after his wife had just had similar spine surgery to mine!!!!!!
I literally got out of the truck, walked in to the bedroom and set down and wept.! Yes, this is why we are here. Because there are so many people in every city and town who are suffering, going through a trying time and just need to know, and more importantly need to see that God is in this and God is in control of it. That God will heal you and bring you through whatever it is.
The several events since that day have been nothing short of the same examples, over and over again. God showing up in our lives and allowing us to share what we have been through to reach those in this area hurting.
Could we have done that in Spartanburg? Yes But is that where God needed us? No
I hope to share many more stories of our new Journey here. I would greatly appreciate all your thoughts and prayers as well.
As, I have went back to work from home, and I am homeschooling our children, Tim is in a new job and doing well and learning so much daily. But he is surround by lost men who so need a Godly friend. Also, we are searching for our permanent house and new church family(which is hard to do leaving AMRBC)
God is Good all the time, all the time God is Good! He knows what we can never see or imagine!
Love you all
