Four Years Ago!!

May 31st 2006  God gave us a little baby boy.  I remember when we found out we where having a boy.  Daddy so excited, and me thinking,  I am a family of all girls, and we have one baby girl, I know a lot more about girls, and NOTHING about boys.  What do you do with a boy?  Then God showed me very quickly that he was giving me this baby boy, to give him back to God.  So that he would learn. love, grow, and become a young man who has a love for God above all else.  He was truly blessed this year to have great friends.  He had a great Birthday party at Pizza Inn, and was so excited.  He may look a lot like his daddy, but he has his mommies shyness, and cuddlness.  He wants to help anyone hurt and love on all the babies, and love on his mommy and daddy and sisters.  God gave him this heart and I love that he is shy just like his mommy was(ok is).  He would say thank you for his friends coming and their gifts, but no one could hear him.  Then as we left the party he said "Mommy thank you for my party and for my friends coming, I have really nice friends that God gave me!!"   That is why God gave me a little boy.  Who on most days scares me that he will get hurt, but on others shows mommy how great it is to be loved by God and have wonderful friends.

Jadyn Konner Hunter Owens,  is daddy's buddy, but he will always be mommys baby boy.  As he has grown the last four years, we have seen bumps, brusies, blood, tears and even seen my share of cars, dump trucks, animals, lizards, turtles and frogs.  We can not visit Grandma without Hunter walking in the door holding a lizard.  We have seen him fall in love with playing football, baseball, basketball and soccer.  He had is first soccer team this spring, and did not want to hurt anyone while playing and wanted to share the ball with everyone, so he stood and watched a lot.  He became a fan of Carolina football, and NC basketball.  Learned to ride a bike, scooter and skateboard.  Jump on a trampoline, climb trees, and chase his sister and cousins.  He can write his name, say ABCs, count to 20, tell me the timeline from creation to Fall of Rome, the 44 presidents, and sing like an angel(he gets that from daddy)!!  He is my baby boy, who I get to see grow everyday in order that one day he will be a man to help build up the body of Christ.  Who ever thought I would be raising a boy to be a man after God's heart!!  I am blessed to have a baby boy who turned 4 this year!!  Happy Birthday Baby Boy!
